My name is Suzie Mears and I became addicted to mastiffs over ten years ago. I bought my first mastiff (Bo) from Robin and Stephen O'Connor of Celtic's Mastiffs. What I got in return was loving devotion from Bo and best friends in Robin and Stephen. Robin "allowed" Sabrina to come live with my Husband Larie and I. She needed some extra attention and Bo was MADLY in love with her. Robin would handle the breeding, Sabrina would just live with us. I was a plumber. I never thought I would be a dog breeder.

Then Robin moved to New Jersey. We all agreed we did not want to fly Sabrina for breeding. So I spoke to my husband, convinced him we could do it and the rest is history. Our first litter was incredible and it made Sabrina the Pedigree Top Producer for 2002.

Sadly, Sabrina passed away a few weeks shy of her 10th birthday. It has taken me a year to say those words. There is not a day that goes by that we don't miss her and think of her. The beautiful part of breeding for me; is that I will always have my Sweet Sabrina as she passed along so many of her wonderful traits in her sons, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters.

Our dogs first and foremost are loving members of our family. I used to be very involved with the dog show world, but have not done it in awhile. Many of the pups we have sold have gone to show homes and have done extremely well in the show world. It is not important to us that our pups are in show homes. We want them in loving homes as members of a family, spoiled rotten, sleeping on couches.

Robin and Steven have retired from breeding so all of Celtic's breeding is done in Miami, Florida now at my home. We do not breed often, as we do not breed for quantity. We breed for quality as evidenced in our lines and only when we are ready for a new family member.
